My third novel, Badge, (unpublished) was named a finalist in the Pacific Northwest Writers Association's Literary Contest for 2011 in the Mainstream category.

My second novel, Ghost Notes, released on my own imprint Defunct Press in 2008, won the 2009 PODBRAM Award for best work of contemporary fiction.

My first novel, Stuck Outside of Phoenix, released in 2003, was nominated for the Star Program, a marketing support program offered to select iUniverse titles that sell at least 500 copies. It was re-released on Defunct Press in 2008, and it is being made into a feature film, which is scheduled for release in 2013.

I also released my first solo CD, Songs from Memory, in 2008, and my first audio book, Ghost Notes, a unique combination of music and spoken word, in 2009.

My shorter work has or will appear in The Writer and Writers' Journal, and online at The Collagist, elimae, PANK, JMWW, The Rumpus, Girls with Insurance and writersdojo.org. I am also a contributing writer at The Nervous Breakdown.

In the 1990s I was co-founder, co-songwriter and bass player with the Refreshments.

I live in Portland, Oregon with my wife Raquel.
